Our Vision statement:

Friends of Mallacoota aim to sustain the natural character of Mallacoota and its surrounds by protecting and caring for the environment. We seek to ensure that human activity is in harmony with  this central aim.

 

Mission Statement:

To raise awareness of and develop understanding about our local environment.

To engender in others a desire to care for and protect our natural environment.

To specifically engender an interest in the younger generation in such matters.

To ensure environmental issues have a high profile.

To ensure that growth and development in Mallacoota is environmentally sustainable by monitoring development proposals.

To act as a vehicle tp promote open discussion within the community, liaise with relevant government bodies, and where appropriate, consult locally affected residents.

To encourage local authorities to communicate appropriately.

To participate actively in gathering data and implementing specific environmental programs.
