The Gippsland Plains Conservation Management Network brings together landholders, public land managers, researchers, non-governemnt organisations and members of the community who are interested in conserving and enhancing the scattered remnant vegetation of the Gippsland Plains.

Various vegetation types, once common on the plains, such as Plains Grassy Woodland, are now listed as threatened with extinction. The CMN promotes good management of surviving patches of this vegetation, along with enhancement and restoration.

Sustainable farming of the plains is encouraged by sharing knowledge, research and educational activities such as the regular publishing of the network's newsletter 'On the Plains', meetings, guest speakers, property and project inspection days and field days.

The CMN Ranger and part-time Facilitator are employed to help implement the Network's program.

All interested persons or groups are encouraged to attend our meeting, take part in our activities or receive our newsletter.

For further information about the Network, please contact:
